At KS4 the pupils are able to visit a local playgroup and spend two mornings observing how children interact and communicate with each other. This experience builds on their understanding of the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of children. The pupils are also given the option of taking home a virtual baby for a weekend and experience the role of a parent with a young baby
Pupils in Years 9, 10 and 11 taking the Child Development option at Key Stage 4 prepare for the OCR Cambridge National Certificate Level 1/2 (J818).
