Year 11: Developing Grit - (VIRTUAL) Parents Meeting
At this stage in your child's education, he/she is preparing fully for their GCSE examinations; the outcomes of these will make a significant impact on life chances, and we want to do everything in our power to help him/her achieve personal success.
To this end, we have put together a number of presentations where we share with you information on how you can support your child during this very important year.
Miss Fernandes, Learning coordinator for Year 11, will introduce the suite of presentations and give you some important information specific to each subject area.

Mr Mathew has put together a presentation that focuses on the most important 'soft skill' to develop in order to succeed when life is more challenging- GRIT. He will give you some insight into this attribute, along with some top tips to take away.
Mrs Howard, Deputy Headteacher (Pastoral & Life Skills), provides an overview of the next steps with regards to the Sixth Form journey as well as an introduction to the JHN EDGE and career opportunities here at the Saint John Henry Newman Catholic School.

Mrs Ince, Deputy Mental Health Lead, provides an update on our provision and vision for supporting your child's wellbeing. There are a number of important signposts that might prove to be useful in the future.
