Catholic Social Teaching
At the heart of our school’s ethos lies a commitment to Catholic Social Teaching (CST) — a rich tradition of thought and action rooted in the Gospel and the teachings of the Church. CST is not confined to Religious Education; it is a golden thread woven through every subject and every lesson, shaping how we learn, how we treat one another, and how we engage with the world.
Our mission statement — “Inspired by our faith, hope and love in Christ, we build an inclusive Catholic community, striving to transform our world” — calls us to live out our faith in practical and transformative ways. CST helps us do just that by encouraging students to reflect on issues of justice, dignity, stewardship, and solidarity in all areas of learning.
We incorporate CST across the curriculum to:
- Foster Ambition: We believe every student is called to reach their full potential. CST teaches that each person is made in the image of God, deserving of opportunities to grow, learn, and lead. In every subject, we challenge students to think critically, aim high, and use their gifts to make a difference.
